I have been questioned by many people with regard to waste at College of Natural Resources. Being a waste management club member and a coordinator I feel I have some responsibility over the concern. The door to door collection system weren't able to collect waste last weekend due to some important reason going in the college and country. We had been in fact involved in other activities which weighted more than our work. Thanks to all people for the concern and reminder. But, I would not forget to share my views, idea and role of waste management club.

Firstly, waste the unwanted materials of all people have been our concern for almost a year. We have been working hard till date to minimize the waste production. We are trying our level best to combat the issue. The issue of global concern. Climate change is everywhere, people talk on environment issues and many awareness are going on waste management. But, still am not sure how many people are practically implementing and working towards it. Here is a fact, many people aren't able to keep their kitchen waste and non-degradable waste separately. I have seen the mixture of both degradable and non-degradable waste together. At the end it is the municipal workers who have to fight against the unpleasant smell of waste exposing their body to pollution. Ask yourself who are those people? and, who are we? Respect is the guiding principle of our Bhutanese society. We believe and talk on respect but are we really in to the core values of respect. If you believe in respect you would have separate bins around your houses for different waste.

It is very difficult to manage the people of this era. We are educated and still we fail to implement the small important things. I have seem many dustbins in college labelled for different waste. Papers, plastic and bottles are meant to be put on different dustbins but I hardly see people doing it. I have reminded many a time but why there is still a problem? People don't have five minute time to segregate their waste and put in to different drums labelled for different waste and talk on respect, commitment and patriotism. Please respect all those people who are trying their waste to minimize the . We are not scavengers who like to dig out all your unwanted waste. we are also a human who love what you love. Just a difference is we are trying our level best to help the community, country and region to minimize the waste production. If throwers throw and workers work, when will be the time we will be free of such issues. Please think my dear ladies and gentle man.
Lastly, I would not forget to remind on the mandates and goal of waste management club at CNR. The club doesn't expect anything in return for the works. We are in fact trying to make awareness to minimize the production of waste. We are not just to work but also re-script the path people are following. The goal to help our society in our small ways to minimize waste production.
