In this period of time I know many of class 12 graduates are comprehending to much to make their choice to join different colleges. They might be facing hard situation to make their choice to chose the best.Like wise last year, I too had hard time to choose different program in various college. I thought for many days and hours and chose diploma program in CNR at end. I chose the program by choice not by chance or by any other factors. That is why I find my course interesting and matching to my passion.
Frankly, before I join this college I had very little idea about the courses provided by CNR. I did not know what sustainable development is all I knew was other three programs Diploma in Agriculture.Animal science and forestry is provided and jobs are secured for them. But, when I reach here things are different, Jobs are never secured and it has become challenge for last one year. Many of my colleague still regret of their choice. Not because of the facilities provided, because of choosing this program even though they got in other degree programs but for me I have no regret since forestry is one of my passion.
This year, the course has changed from diploma to BSc in Agriculture,Animal science and Forestry and many of you might haven seen its diploma nested. The word diploma nested has created confusion for many of friends and I still hope its confusion for many of class 12 pass out. This morning the director of CNR Dasho Dorji Wangchuk has made it clear for all students and I take this chance to share with my friends who are in dilemma of what diploma nested is;
The Bsc program is a four year program and its only for those who are selected and is done with merit basis after two years. The minimum percentage they should secure is 70% but it doesn't mean all who secure 70% will be given pre-service degree. Only 50% of students will be taken according to their ranking in two years. Others who are not selected will be pass-out with diploma certificate and this what diploma nested is.
Therefore, I hope all students will be aware of what diploma nested is and choose the best program with their interest and am hoping that they won't regret later.....Make good choices.....
