It has rather been a sad news
for all 23rd forestry student unlike the block week news in September.
Not because we did not want just because of our own financial problem
and moreover we thought its a great challenge to face the climate this
winter. we were confirmed to move towards Bumthang even though we
weren't happy but things were different when we reach there. The climate
was favorable enough though the water seems to be hard. The winter
night was cool rather than cold and  the days were suitable for us
creating conducive environment  to study.
Moreover, It
was a great experience for us to stay in forest with our own camp
because we could really know how people feel when they live in such
environment.
the study of cable crane survey was really
interesting though it seems to be hard and physically challenging.
Beside survey class I was really happy to have got good opportunity to
explore the flora of Bumthang as my interest on flowers and plants
increases when i saw many beautiful beauty of nature. I therefore would
like to share some of photos that i did snap during my block week at
Bumthang.

Malva is a herbaceous plant which can be annual, biennial and perennial and it falls under family Malvaceae. The genus Malva
is found in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa and Europe
and Bumthang is one of the region where the species is found. The
species is grown as flowers in garden as i did see at Bumthang but its
also said that its sometimes found as weed in American countries. The
leaves are alternate and palmately lobed with pink or white petals.
